Good but Germans celebrate Christmas on Xmas Eve and don't open presents on Christmas morning so this book is meant for English kids learning German and not the other way round which is what I wanted. In one part it is incorrect - Xmas Eve is "Heilig Abend" so when the translation says Xmas Eve is the night before "Heilig Abend" it is wrong. Apart from that; it is a decent kids book to help with learning another language.

This was a gift...and sadly not one I would recommend. The story is very weak...the pictures uninspiring...there are WAY too many Santas to make the 'hunt' interesting for children...but worst of all is the bilingual aspect. The German is NOT an accurate translation on the English. Please do not buy this book in an attempt to teach German.

The German in this book is not good at all. The Translater clearly had no grasp of the German Christmas traditions. So it happens that Christmas day is translated as Heiligabend. As a Native German this is just a crime. Heiligabend is Christmas Eve. This is not a story. Just a few simple sentences thrown onto a page. The child is supposed to find a hidden Santa on each page. Hence the title. Apparently these books are printed by Amazon. Shame on you Amazon. This looks as it was thrown together in 2 minutes and probably translaed by a Computer rather than a native Translator. I returned the book and 4 others from the series within 30 mintes of receiving them. Do not waste your money as you will be disappointed.
